Band Members




Rowland S. Howard

Vocals & guitars. Rowland Stuart Howard was the main songwriter and the big brother of Harry. He also played in/with The Birthday Party, Crime & The City Solution, Lydia Lunch, Nikki Sudden (Epic's brother) and The Devastations to name a few. He produced and played in the records of Hungry Ghosts (1997) and HTRK (2006). He released two solo albums: "Teenage Snuff Film" in 1999 and "Pop Crimes" in 2009. After These Immortal Souls he lived in Melbourne and did solo performances occasionally. Rowland S. Howard died in December 30, 2009 on liver cancer.

Genevieve McGuckin

Piano and keyboards. She has played with Rowland also in Honeymoon in Red and written tracks for The Birthday Party and Rowland's solo album. Recently she has played in Luxedo and Vera Cruz and on The Devastation's album. She lives in Melbourne.





Harry Howard

Bass. He is the little brother of Rowland and has played with him also in Crime & The City Solution. He played in the live bands of Rowland and Lydia Lunch when they released their "Shotgun Wedding" album and of Rowland when he released his first solo album. Currently he plays in The Pink Stainless Tail and also creates music on his own.





Epic Soundtracks

Drums. Born Paul Godley. In 70's he played in Swell Maps with his brother Nikki Sudden. Other bands that he'd been in include Crime & The City Solution and Red Crayola. He left These Immortal Souls soon after the recording of their second album. He also released solo albums before passing away in 1997.

Graig Williamson

Drums. He replaced Epic Soundtracks but played the only recorded song he appears on is "You Can't Unring A Bell" which they did for the Tom Waits tribute album.



Spencer P. Jones

Guitar. He played in the group for some time in the 1990s. The only recorded song he appears on is "You Can't Unring A Bell" which they did for the Tom Waits tribute album. He is the founding member of The Beast of Bourbon.
